Read the full article on Telegram: EDUCATION: WHY DO CRYPTO PROJECTS LIST THEIR TOKENS ON TIER 2 AND TIER 3 EXCHANGES? The dream of every team, founder, and project is to get listed on Binance, OKX, and other Tier 1 CEXs. This is the ultimate goal that every project aspires to achieve. But how to achieve that? To get listed on Binance and other Tier 1 exchanges, a project must meet specific KPIs and requirements in terms of trading volume, audience reach, and the number of token holders. Once these KPIs are reached, Tier 1 exchanges are open to list a token. Projects following long-term strategies list their tokens on Tier 2 and Tier 3 CEXs with the goal of eventually achieving Tier 1 CEX listings for several reasons: Reason #1 Increasing Overall Trading Volume: Tier 2 and Tier 3 exchanges allow projects to increase overall trading volume. The combined trading volume on 3-5 Tier 2/3 CEXs can be much higher than the trading volume on a single Tier 1 CEX. This helps the project reach the KPI goals necessary for eligibility for listing on a Tier 1 CEX. For example, the token we love the most, was listed on 5 CEXs in March, and the total 24-hour trading volumes across these newly partnered CEXs on the day of listing reached a remarkable $7,566,549,480. This is several times larger than the trading volume of OKX or Coinbase, which is around $1 billion to $2 billion per Tier 1 CEX. Only Binance can outperform this with its outstanding $9 billion 24-hour trading volume. Reason #2 Regional Popularity: Some exchanges, while not globally popular, have significant hype in specific regions, such as Asia. Listing a token on these exchanges provides access to new audiences and helps onboard new community members, token holders, and supporters. Conclusion: With every new Tier 2 or Tier 3 CEX listing, a project comes a few steps closer to a Tier 1 CEX listing. Good things require efforts and patience.
